Continuing Education for Intermediate/Advanced Dancers and Professional Dance Teachers

BNC will host a 2-hour ballet class workshop with School Director Julia Wilkinson Manley and former professional dancer and Pilates Rehabilitation Specialist Camcie Foster on Friday, November 11, 4-6pm.

This class will provide students with a comprehensive education of muscle group dynamics and bio-mechanics of proper technique.

Julia will teach a BNC-style ballet class – kinesthetic corrections, classical foundation, contemporary sensibility – while Camcie will go further in-depth with descriptions of muscle group function and correct bio-mechanics. Participants, either student dancers or teachers, will be given the opportunity to explore in detail how better to achieve classical lines and improve technique when the body is functioning as a universal whole.
