BNC Alum Dances Lead in Balanchine Ballet
Last night I had the great privilege to see our former student, Bridget Maginity, dance the lead in George Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante at the University of Arizona. It was a quick trip, but so beautifully justified from the moment she stepped on stage. As professor and world-wide master teacher James Clouser said of Bridget last night, “She makes me understand the music – she IS the music.” Below is a picture of Bridget and her partner Barton Cowperthwaite in Allegro, and me – proud BNC School Director – with Bridget after the show.
