THE POSITION: Administrative & Operations Manager
Ballet Nouveau Colorado (BNC) is a fast-paced, passionate, dynamic non-profit arts organization. BNC’s company, school and community programs are dedicated to enriching lives through innovation in dance. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill the position of Administrative & Operations Manager.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handles day-to-day coordination and supervision of administrative responsibilities supporting The School of BNC and overall operations of organization
- Trains and manages front desk staff
- Manages facility ensuring school and office are appropriately maintained
- Primary assistant to School Director
- Reports directly to School Director, and works with other directors (Executive Director, Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director) and staff as needed, as well as Volunteer Coordinator and volunteers
- Assists Patron Services Manager with professional and student productions
- Oversight of Human Resources functions, including:
- Manages Worker Compensation Claims
- Reviews all insurance policies annually
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Administrative management experience preferred
- Highly-skilled working with computers and standard office equipment
- Successful experience with customer service
- Knowledge of high level Excel workbooks
- Budget Management
- Organizational skills, multi-tasking
- Attention-to-detail
- Deadline-oriented
- Fast-paced
MUST HAVES
- A motivational leader who enjoys coaching, managing and supervising others
- Computer literate and experience working with standard office equipment, such as printer, scanner, fax, copier and phone system
- Ability to work independently and with others; can initiate and self-manage workload with little supervision
- Be able to see the “big picture” and assign and manage tasks to help organization operate effectively and efficiently. to achieve goals.
- Some experience/interest in dance and/or basic understanding of ballet vocabulary
A PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Peachtree or other accounting software experience
- Experience supervising and managing volunteers
- Some understanding of trouble-shooting IT issues
START DATE
Ideally February 1, 2012
COMPENSATION
Salary starts at $30,000. If you have any salary requirements, please state in your application.
BENEFITS
BNC employees are eligible to take unlimited free dance classes. Adult dance classes currently offered include Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Tap and Pilates.
