Christin Crampton Day

Executive Director

Christin Crampton Day was appointed Executive Director of Ballet Nouveau Colorado in January 2011.  Christin brings a life-long passion for dance and nearly 25 years of professional experience, including having owned and operated her own small business for 12 years, as well as experience serving on several community boards.

Having worked in the public relations agency business for over two decades, Christin has diversified experience, including representing a variety of consumer, business-to-business and nonprofit organizations.  She has provided counsel, lead and managed teams that implemented successful national, regional and local PR programs with measureable results.  Areas of expertise include strategic planning, media training, media relations, community relations, cause marketing, events, promotions, issues management, crisis communications, and online/social media.

Most recently, Christin was principal of Center Stage llc, a public relations and marketing communications firm she formed in February 2009.  Previously, she was a principal and co-owner of Schenkein, which prior to closing in January 2009 was consistently ranked by The Denver Business Journal as one of the top public relations firms in Denver. She worked at the Schenkein agency for 14 years, joining the agency in January 1995, and became an owner in December 1998.  She was responsible for client strategy, new business development, staff training and management, and was a member of the executive leadership team overseeing day-to-day agency operations. From 1987-1994, Christin worked for several prominent public relations firms in Chicago. Prior to her career in public relations, she was a top performer in outside sales and telesales.

Christin is active in the Denver community and has served on several nonprofit boards.  She served on the board of trustees for Colorado Ballet for 13 years, and is a past co-chair of the board. Additionally, she has previously served on boards and/or committees for the Downtown Denver Partnership, Metro Denver Chamber, DIA Partnership, Metro Denver Sports Commission, Montessori School of Denver and Urban Land Institute’s UrbanPlan program.

She is a graduate of the Denver Chamber’s Leadership Denver program and the Colorado Business Committee on the Arts’ Leadership Arts program. She was named to the Denver Business Journal’s (DBJ) “Power Book” recognized as one of Denver’s top newsmakers in 2007, and is a past recipient of the DBJ’s “Forty Under 40” business leaders award and the Association of Women In Communications’ Woman of Achievement award.

Christin is accredited in public relations and a member of the Counselor’s Academy of PRSA. She received a bachelor’s of arts degree in Communications from Michigan State University. Christin resides in central Denver with her husband, Scott, 10-year-old daughter, Lindsay, four-year-old daughter, Darby, and their Beagle, Lady.
