Fundraising/Development Intern

The Development Intern is a key member of the fundraising team at Ballet Nouveau Colorado, who helps facilitate the many tasks associated with annual giving, fundraising events and support for the Board of Trustees. The Intern must be detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Database entry experience is ideal, but not required. Non-profit or office experience is preferred. Occasional lifting is required. The Development Intern will learn the day-to-day workings of a busy fundraising office including mail solicitation, online fundraising, gift processing and database management. Other responsibilities include assisting at special events. Hours are generally 9:30am–5pm Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend assignments to cover special events.

Marketing/Communications Intern

Ballet Nouveau Colorado is looking for a high energy, web and social media savvy, entrepreneurial intern to join our team. Ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, a high level of organization, strong written and verbal communication skills, flexibility and multi-tasking ability. At Ballet Nouveau Colorado interns will gain marketing experience, social media skills and an understanding for in the inner workings of a non-profit arts organization. BNCs Marketing/Communications Intern is responsible for assisting in the management of the company website and social networks, event planning and execution, managing web event calendars, archiving press coverage and marketing research, and much more! Hours are generally 9:30am–5pm Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend assignments to cover special events.

Health & Wellness Intern

The Health & Wellness position at BNC will involve a wide range of health related activities to help our staff and students maintain a healthy lifestyle. This position will involve working with our health and wellness steering committee to research and reach out to healthy food providers for donations to our healthy snack shop, recruit and create nutrition and healthy living workshops with guest speakers, grant research related to  fitness, health, nutrition and health. The applicant will also be involved with organizing cross marketing opportunities with like-minded health and wellness organizations, finding corporate sponsorships to support our healthy snack shop and open house focused on health and wellness. The applicant will seek out health and wellness events we can participate in along with setting up and manning booths and health and wellness events and work as a liaison to health and wellness organizations and resources that are available to us as a nonprofit. Also writing short articles and providing resources for our BNC parent newsletter and our blog.

Nonprofit & Arts Administration & Programs Intern

The arts & programs administration position will help coordinate outreach volunteers and assist with grassroots marketing of the school & community programs. The position will involve creating, updating and analyzing surveys for outreach schools & students as well as assist with teacher evaluations. The intern will also assist in the budgeting process. Other key roles will be assisting with special events and fundraisers, from set up and tear down to the creating and editing programming schedules and materials.

Web Design Intern

Web Design Interns will assist BNC with functionality of our sites, integrating links to social networking sites, embedding video clips, and working with Google analytics. This position will also help maintain and update the site, improve content and Search Engine Optimization as well as user friendliness and ease of navigation of the site. Other responsibilities include creating interfaces and assist with web site related research. Interns will have the chance to participate in establishing BNC as a nationally recognized leader in contemporary dance.  This is a great opportunity to expand your portfolio while working in a professional, yet fun, work environment. Hours are generally 9:30am–5pm Monday through Friday.

Photography Intern

Photography Intern responsibilities will consist of shooting, editing photos and assisting in various productions and programs Ballet Nouveau Colorado produces such as, professional company performances, dance classes and community outreach programs as well as special events. Your work may be used throughout marketing and social media campaigns directly related to our organization. Production responsibilities include working closely with BNC’s Artistic Director, Communications Manager and production staff. Post production responsibilities will range from capturing/logging footage and editing images using Photoshop. Hours are generally late afternoons and evenings Monday through Friday with some weekday and weekend assignments to cover performances and special events.

Videography Intern

The Videography Intern responsibilities will consist of editing and assisting in various productions and programs Ballet Nouveau Colorado produces such as, professional company performances, dance classes and community outreach programs as well as special events. Your work may be used throughout marketing and social media campaigns directly related to our organization. Production responsibilities include working closely with BNC’s Artistic Director, Communications Manager and production staff. Post production responsibilities will range from capturing/logging footage to assembling rough cuts with the potential to edit entire videos from start to finish. Hours are generally late afternoons and evenings Monday through Friday with some weekday and weekend assignments to cover performances and special events.
