Our daughter, Kaileah, started taking ballet when she was 3 1/2 years old. She was already taking gymnastics and having fun at that. But when a friend asked if she would take a ballet class with her daughter, she was delighted. After taking two sessions at the local rec center, we knew she loved it and wanted more in-depth teaching. We heard about BNC through a family at gymnastics (who was also a BNC family) and thought we’d give it a try. That was back in September 2001 – and we are still here today. Needless to say, the moment my daughter stepped into Studio 1 at 8:00am on Saturday mornings, we knew where she belonged. She has definitely grown up at BNC and has gone through all the levels from Preschool Ballet to now Ballet G.

Since our son Parker was always tagging along everywhere his big sister went, it wasn’t much of a surprise when he asked to take class, too. He started taking ballet when he was 4 years old and in the Preschool Ballet level. At first, we weren’t sure if he wanted to take class just because his sister did, or if he really wanted to because it looked like fun. But the huge grin on his face during class told us the answer. He is now in Level D and is still grinning during all his classes.

Although neither my husband nor myself grew up in the dance world, we are so very blessed to be a part of BNC and feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful home.
