Jayne Persch
As a dancer Ms. Persch trained and danced with some of the finest companies in the world including the Stuttgart Ballet (Germany), American Ballet Theater (New York), and the Royal Ballet (London, England) as well as the Goetheanum, Dornach, Swizerland.
As a choreographer, Ms. Persch has created more than 40 works for chamber sized performance groups Her work has been presented in Ireland, Italy, Denmark and France to the Festival Off D’Avignon. As Artistic Director of the New Hampshire Contemporary Ballet Company, she was selected as one of two choreographers for the MacDowell Colony Centennial Celebration, served on the rosters of both Artists-in-Residence and Arts-in Education and received the Governor’s Award for Artistic Excellence. Sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, Ms. Persch received a national award from the National Association of Science Teachers for her innovative Alternative Educational –Arts- in-School project, Let’s Create Together-The Planets, Internationally she was appointed to the Faculty for the Pari Center for New Learning, (Italy) funded through the World Academy of Art & Science – Dr. F. David Peat – Director. In Italy, Ms. Persch has presented for the International Dance Association – Medical Conference, taught for the Nazionale Accademia di Danza, Roma and Florence. She is guest teacher for the Royal Danish Ballet School, The Danish National Theater School, School of Modern Dance, and Copenhagen Dance Arts and IDA in Spain.
Nationally, Ms. Persch has taught at colleges, universities, public and private schools and conservatories including the University of New Hampshire and Trinity College for Graduate Studies in California, California State University-Long Beach; Ballet Pacifica, Ballet Etudes, Orange County High School of the Arts, Saint Joseph’s Ballet.
.Ms. Persch graduated with honors from Manhattanville College with an BA in Asian Studies and achieved a Masters level in Counselling Psychology through Antioch-New England Graduate School. She is a certified and licensed massage therapist with more than 25 years in practice and is certified through the Upledger Institute as an advanced cranio-therapist In 2005 she completed her Master of Arts in Dance at California State University Long Beach.
As an artist and therapist Ms. Persch is a member of CID-UNESCO, IADMS, NEA, PAMA, PPANA, IDA and WDA.
