Jazz

Ages 7-20 & Adults

Jazz dance, as we know it today, finds its roots in African American, Caribbean and European social dance traditions. It draws its name from its close association with the evolution of jazz music in America during the 20th century. Though Jazz has many styles, all of them commonly use complex musical rhythms and movement isolations of the body.

Jazz classes are available to students enrolled in our Primary, Intermediate and Advanced Divisions as well as Late Beginners, Teens and Adults. See level pages for additional requirements.
