Dance with Me

Ages 1-3 & their caregivers

You and your toddler will build connections while bopping, wiggling and dancing in a safe and fun environment. This early-learning dance class teaches toddlers and caregivers body rhythms and musicality based on national standards for early childhood development.

Classes run in 10 weeks sessions:
Fall Session September 5 – November 12, 2011
Winter Session January 2 – March 10, 2012
Spring Session April 6 – June 9, 2012

Summer Session June 23 – July 28 (6 weeks for only $70)

Pre-School Ballet Classes

Level: Beginning
Ages: 3 & 4 (must be potty trained)

No experience necessary! Our 6 week summer Pre-School Ballet class is a wonderful introduction to dance and the world of ballet!

• Wonderful teachers with extensive experience working with pre-school students.
•  Students learn basic dance movements and terminology in a fun and interactive class.
• Demonstration for friends and family at the conclusion of the summer program.

Fairytale Ballet Camp

Level: Beginning (Division 1)
Ages*: 5-8

*Ages are approximate. Placement is by student ability. All students must be assessed and placed by School Director.

This delightful camp gives young dancers a wonderful summer experience that includes our very popular Fairytale Ballet program and performance.

• Classes in Ballet Technique, Musical Theatre and Fairytale Ballet!
• Students re-create a classic Fairytale Ballet, which they perform for family and friends at the end of the 6th week.
• Two Musical Theatre performances and a ballet demonstration at the conclusion of the program!
• Students ages 7+ who have been in a BNC Gala production and meet summer training requirements may be eligible to audition for The Nutcracker!

Intermediate Dance Camp

Level: Intermediate (Division 2, 3 & 4)
Ages*: 7-14

This is the only camp of its kind in the metro area! Designed to give intermediate dancers the same kinds of experiences usually only available to advanced dancers, this camp gives dancers a chance to stretch their abilities and grow by leaps and bounds.

• Classes in Ballet Technique, Technique Intensive, Musical Theatre, Body Conditioning and Character (Divisions 3 & 4).
• Performances for friends and family throughout the summer.
• Students ages 7+ who have been in a BNC Gala production and meet summer training requirements may be eligible to audition for The Nutcracker! The audition date is August 26, 2012

Classes For Beginners, 9 Years and Older

Level: Beginning, or for with little experience in ballet (Division 3.9+)

No experience necessary! This camp is specially designed for beginners 9 years and older to provide a fun and exciting summer experience while giving them a jump start
on their dance training.

• Wonderful teachers with extensive experience working with beginners.
• Students may take classes in Ballet, Musical Theatre, Character, Modern and Body Conditioning.
• Performances for friends and family to show students’ progress.

**Dancers with no prior training may be placed in ballet technique only during the summer to facilitate optimal progress.

Ballet Expressions

Ages: 4-18

This adaptive curriculum class is specifically designed to provide kids of all abilities with a therapeutic dance experience. Students will gain increased body awareness, develop fundamental motor skills, improve self-esteem, concentration and focus while having fun expressing themselves creatively. The program is taught by a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist with experience working with children of all abilities, students are able to explore dance in a safe environment. Caregivers are welcome to connect with other Ballet Expression families in the Expressions Café where they can observe their children through a one-way glass window. BNC is currently accepting enrollment for spring programming through June 2. Summer programs are also available and run from June 21-July 26, 2012.

Ages 8-12 Thursday 4:45-5:40pm
Ages 13-18 Thursdays 5:45-6:45 pm
