Posted on: December 26th, 2011 by Sarah Maltrud

BNC is excited to announce they won for a second year in a row, the Best of the West: Critic's Choice Award from Yellow Scene Magazine! It is an honor to have been named:
"Best class to take when you just want to dance"

This year's Critic's Choice Blog post announcing the winners reads:

"As young girls, lots of us dreamed of being ballerinas. Now, whether you can remember your pliés from your pas de bourrees or not, Ballet Nouveau Colorado can reignite your toe-shoe dreams with adult dance and fitness classes catering to a variety of needs, interests,
abilities and ages."

Thank you, Yellow Scene!

Video: Contemporary II’s Spontaneous Urban Performance

Posted on: September 8th, 2011 by The Long Family

BNC's Contemporary II class performed their first Spontaneous Urban Performance Lisztomania at the Louisville Farmer's Market on 9/3/11. Afterwards, those students and School Director Julia Wilkinson Manley hosted a ballet demonstration and taught the audience their Mercy dance. To quote a  dad  who was pulled up on stage with his daughter, "who knew we'd get to do all of this ! We just came to buy some apples!"

Be on the lookout for more Spontaneous Urban Performances from students in the Contemporary II class!
